Florida, the sunshine state, is one of the top tourist destinations in the world and is America’s third most populous state. It’s also the headquarters for some king-sized businesses like Tupperware, Elizabeth Arden, NASCAR, Disney, Hertz and Burger King!

In addition to popular pop-up stops like New York, LA and Toronto – brands are now adding Florida to their pop-in city list! Check out some past, present and future temporary activations happening across the state:

DOJO DOUGHNUTS

Naples chef, Chris Capron followed his culinary dreams by bringing his artisan-style doughnut shop to the streets in the form of pop-ups. Customers were lured into this sweet set-up with the smells of miniature Key Lime Doughnut Holes and Mango/Ginger Fritters peppered with thin slivers of fresh mint - our mouths are watering!

FLIGHT CLUB

When GOAT merged with Flight Club to become “the world’s largest sneaker marketplace”, focusing on reselling rare sneakers - the brand received $60 million in new funding to scale their online and retail operations to meet customer demand both domestically and internationally. Part of this strategy included a pop-up in Florida that not only held coveted past releases, but also served as a celebration of local artists and street culture within Miami’s Design District.

Louis Vuitton started this year with a bang, opening a pop-up store to celebrate the debut collection from LV’s men’s artistic director, Virgil Abloh. This retail experience invites visitors to discover the new men’s ready-to-wear, accessories, and leather goods through a distinctly prismatic lens inspired by the 1939 cinematic musical ‘the wizard of oz’.

NIGHT OWL COOKIES

Night Owl Cookies preps and bakes more than 15,000 cookies every week. In 2018, the store surpassed its goal of producing more than one million cookies and became Postmates’ most ordered restaurant in Florida and its second most popular dessert in the country! The brand celebrated its booming success on a nationwide scale by popping up in various cities – including Miami!

SERENA WILLIAMS POP-UP

Serena Williams is clearly business savvy enough to know that leveraging local events is a sure way to drive foot traffic and give your pop-up a solid foundation. The tennis pro launched her temporary retail space during Miami’s Art Basel where guests, including fellow tennis star Caroline Wozniacki, drank cocktails draped with fluffy pink cotton candy and snapped selfies from a life-size swing covered with botanicals.

KINGDOM HEARTS 3

In preparation for the highly anticipated release of Kingdom Hearts 3 Disney Parks opened an experiential pop-up in their lakefront shopping center, Disney Springs. The temporary promotional space featured an array of memorabilia along with a 15-minute demo of the new instalment in the franchise.
